Workplace Campaign

All the tools and resources to manage your workplace campaign!

Thanks to the generosity of employees in the workplace, United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge is able to help thousands of people in our community.

What is a workplace campaign?

Workplace campaigns offer employees an opportunity to contribute through a one-time scheduled donation or with payroll deduction. Donating through campaigns have long been the foundation of United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge’s fundraising efforts; those who serve as our Employee Campaign Managers each year are key to our success. ECMs, as they’re affectionately called, assume leadership responsibility for UWVBR’s campaign in their respective workplaces, and bring together the necessary resources to conduct a successful campaign.

Campaign Contribution Opportunities
Corporate Gift

Your company can contribute towards a collective community impact by providing a corporate gift. Some companies will even provide a corporate match for employee giving or for special UWVBR fundraising events such as Giving Tuesday or end of the year campaigns.

Sponsorships

Companies can sponsor events and take advantage of year-round engagement opportunities by becoming a sponsor. There are several benefits to becoming a United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge sponsor including increased brand recognition and reach, diversifying your audience, networking, and more with our companies, community partners, donors, and other stakeholders.

Volunteer Engagement

Are you looking for opportunities for your employees to engage throughout the year? You’ve come to the right place. Some opportunities include our annual Day of Action, greeters for Fashions for Evergreens at Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center, and several supply drives through the year. Please contact your Development and Engagement Specialist for opportunities.

Special Events

Including one or more special events in your United Way Campaign can help motivate and promote team spirit, raise awareness and money. Special events provide co-workers with another way to support the campaign while participating in fun activities. Popular events include activities such as chili cook-offs, basket raffles, donations for casual dress day and corn hole tournaments. Talk with your Development and Engagement Specialist about special events that can further support and contribute to your overall campaign.
