We’re Here To Help

United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of people in our community. We realize the problems that impact our community are not easily solved, but we work tirelessly with our partners to connect those that are seeking help with the resources, individuals, and organizations that seek to help.

Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ®-3) is a developmental screening tool designed for use by early educators and health care professionals. It relies on parents as experts, is easy-to-use, family-friendly and creates the snapshot needed to catch delays and celebrate milestones.

Results of screening and suggested activities will be provided within two weeks of submission.

Smart2Start

Smart2Start helps families find affordable childcare and preschools that are just the right fit.

We partner with public schools, nonprofits and faith based organizations to ensure every child enters kindergarten with the skills needed to succeed in school and in life. That means parents can complete just a single application to find affordable childcare and discover if their family is eligible for publicly-funded programs that may provide free or reduced cost options.

Prepare your child for success in school and in life, by completing a Smart2Start application.
