Director of Philanthropy
United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, forward thinking Director of Philanthropy for our Resource Development Team. This position will be instrumental in building relationships with individual, philanthropic major gift donors. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, consultative selling and public speaking skills and be able to work in a team oriented environment. Requirements include advanced knowledge of MS office software, and the ability to navigate and manage databases. Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of professional work experience with 5 or more years in fundraising, development, sales, communication and/or public relations experience required. Professional Certification in Fundraising is ideal.
Salary Range $70,000 – 75,000 starting based on experience. EOE
